Babel Buster IP/XL is
a BACnet IP slave (server) device that functions as a LonWorks device
manager. A large number of BACnet objects gives you flexibility in
mapping LonWorks Network Variables to any combination of BACnet
objects. NV Structures may be parsed to multiple BACnet objects when
reading. Multiple BACnet objects may be packed into a single structured
variable when writing. All standard SNVT’s are supported.
Objects
mapped to Network Variable Outputs (NVO) will poll their assigned
variable at the interval you specify. Network Variable Inputs (NVI) are
written each time the mapped BACnet object is written. BACnet input
objects correspond to NVO’s on the LonWorks device. BACnet output
objects correspond to NVI’s on the LonWorks device. BACnet value
objects may be mapped to NVI’s for writing without priorities.
Configuration
of the IP/XL is done via the embedded web interface. You can upload an
XIF file to define the LonWorks device, or in many cases, import the
file from the device itself.
